Borders Bookstore features Obama under 'Religion'

Although many bookstores have built display "shrines" selling Obama books, a Borders bookstore near Dallas, Texas took it one level higher with this display:

When contacted, Borders corporate spokeswoman Ann Roman had this comment to make to WND;

"We are a completely politically neutral organization," she said. "As you can imagine we carry every political perspective, authors from both parties.

"What happened here is those books were for kids and they were put under an overarching sign. Our team did not mean to imply an inappropriate classification," she said.

Gary Stone of Texas received an E-mail informing him of the display and during his lunch break he drove down to check it out and verify it. He then notified World New Daily who contacted Ann Roman.  This implies the display was left standing for a rather substantial part of the day.  The store employees may not have meant for the books to be placed under that particular arch, but they apparently made absolutely no effort to correct it.

A second observation can be made.  Can we assume Borders has no religious books for children available to fill the appropriate space?

And I will dispute their claim they "carry every political perspective, authors from both parties".  Try and locate books by Bastiat, Kirk, or Burke for example) at a Borders, Books A Million, or Barnes & Noble brick and mortar store; none of these are obscure Conservative authors.

    I was in Amarillo, Tx this Sunday and went into Barnes & Nobles where I saw the very same thing. Obama books under the Religion banner. I thought it was a fluke.

    I would guess that the only reason there were no votive candles or incense burning was the fact that the fire code prevents it...
