Pay caps for ALL US Companies
With only three weeks under his belt as President, Obama is swiftly making the moves that will move the United States closer to a socialist state. If Representative Barney Frank has his way, as Chairman of the Financial Services Committee, it will occur even quicker.
In an interview with the Financial Week, Frank stated, "Congress will consider legislation to extend some of the curbs on executive pay that now apply only to those banks receiving federal assistance, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank said. 'There's deeply rooted anger on the part of the average American,' the Massachusetts Democrat said at a Washington news conference today. He said the compensation restrictions would apply to all financial institutions and might be extended to include all U.S. companies."
Treasury Secretary Geithner said he would consider “extending at least some of the TARP provisions and features of the $500,000 cap to U.S. companies generally.”
Include all American companies? A pay cap on executive pay for all American companies? How, under our constitution can this even be considered by our elected officials?
Frank states there is "deeply rooted anger". Anger? For what? Attending school? Getting a Masters degree? A Doctorate? For working longer hours than normal, working their way up the corporate ladder?
Why doesn't Franks refer to this attitude by its proper name? Class envy. People, devoid of ambition themselves, and jealous of those that have it, are envious of those evil capitalists that have earned more money than they have.
The liberals and left have been screaming for far too many years how the root of all the problems in the United States can be laid at the doorstep of corporate America. Look at any demonstration; anti-war, environment, or global warming just to name a few, and most of the protest signs will bear corporate names as the evil causes of whatever is being demonstrated against.
This is the chance for the liberals and left to destroy or alter corporate America forever. And they are obviously pushing it for all it is worth.

Caps? Sure... just as soon as Congressman Twinkletoes accepts term limits.
