Obama and the "neighborhood" bully

President Obama put his theory to the test offering negotiations with Iran stating he is ready to open diplomatic relations if Iran "would unclench the fist".

Iran has responded.  "This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed," Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.

"Negotiation is secondary, the main issue is that there is no way but for (the United States) to change," he added.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad responded by demanding an apology for its "crimes" against Iran and saying he expected "deep and fundamental" change from Obama.

Has this administration grabbed a clue yet?  These people will not alter their stance.  They do not want peace and have stated so on many occasions. The old adage of "give them an inch and they want a mile" applies to the government of Iran.  They are behaving as the neighborhood bully.  The neighborhood bully was never stopped by begging, pleading, negotiating, or even giving him your lunch money every day.  The neighborhood bully feeds off of displays of weakness; it encourages him and feeds his ego.

I grew up as a military dependent, moving every few years to new schools.  I spent a career in the Army moving around dealing with many different types of people.  My life experiences prove to me, the only way to handle a bully is to take a big assed stick and beat the bully senseless with it.
